Social Distortion, Pearl Jam Perform "Ball and Chain"

October 27 and 28 were special nights for any fans of both Social Distortion and Pearl Jam as the two bands were on the same bill in Philadelphia.  At one point both bands shared the same stage during each other's sets.  Eddie Vedder and Mike McCready joined Social Distortion as they played "Ball and Chain."  Mike Ness and Jonny "2 Bags" Wickersham joined Pearl Jam to perform "Drown."

Social Distortion Winding Down European Tour

Social Distortion, the classic Southern California punk band, is nearing the end of their month long European tour.  Only five shows remain before coming home to start their U.S. and Canadian tour.  The band is feeling good about their European tour according to Social Distortion's Web site.

You can check out their opening number from their Barcelona show below.  It's a good chance to see Atom Willard on drums.  Willard replaced Charlie Quintana when he announced he would be stepping down as Social Distortion's drummer after ten years with the band.  Also note the crowd's sing-a-long around 1:15.  It sounds very similar to a European football match.  At least they could sing to Social Distortion even if they weren't singing when the U.S. beat Spain in the Confederations Cup semi-final.
