What is the difference between a profile and a review?
This is like the question of what came first...the chicken or the egg? Though in this case it's a little more straightforward. It all starts with a profile. So I guess it's not at all like the chicken and the egg question, but I digress. Where were we? Oh yes...A profile contains factual and objective information about things like albums, bands, or movies. They are structured like a wiki so any registered user can modify a profile to ensure the information is accurate and up-to-date. Once a profile has been written a review can be attached to it.

The review can be as opinionated as you want it to be. Tell the world how you really feel about that new album. In addition to your review you can also give the profile a rating. An average rating is then calculated for all the reviews.

How do I add a new article?
Click the "Add News Clip/Article" menu item under "Toolbox" in the top navigation. Give your article or news item a title, enter the topic(s) the article is about, and the body of the story.

Once you've entered everything you can click the "Preview" button to see what the page will look like when it's published. You can make additional edits if necessary. If everything looks good to you, then click the "Submit" button to publish the article.

How do I add a new profile?
First search for the profile you want to add to make certain one doesn't already exist. If the results come up empty, then click the appropriate menu item under "Toolbox" in the top navigation depending on the type of profile you are submitting. For example, if you want to add a new album profile select "Add Album Profile". If one does appear in your search results, then simply make certain that the content is correct. If not, you can edit the profile by clicking the "Edit" tab and making any necessary modifications just like a wiki.

Once you've entered everything you can click the "Preview" button to see what the page will look like when it's published. You can make additional edits if necessary. If everything looks good to you, then click the "Submit" button to publish the profile.

Why aren't my profiles or articles appearing in the search?

Why aren't the tags I added to an article appearing in the "Hot Tags" section of the home page?
The tags are indexed for the Hot Tags section periodically throughout the day. If you don't see it immediately check back later.

How do I search for a user?
To search for a user by their username simply enter the first few characters of their username in the search text field and select the "Users" radio button. A list of usernames starting with the characters you entered will appear in the search results.

Why am I not receiving e-mails from Frenzy Press?
Some e-mail systems will treat e-mail as spam and toss it into the junk folder unless you specifiy that the e-mail is from a trusted source. If you are expecting a message from Frenzy Press, such as when you first register or when someone sends you a private message, then check your junk and trash folders. If the e-mail is there be sure to set your options in the e-mail application to trust any e-mail that comes from the frenzypress.com domain.

Why are the times on my posts different from my timezone?
Frenzy Press allows each user to set the timezone specific to the place they live at. The default setting is UTC. To change the timezone to your specific area click "My Account" in the top navigation. Select the "Edit Account" tab and select the correct timezone in the drop-down.

Why do I see so many "Saved format data for term" messages when I submit my profile?
Each item that is entered in areas such as your favorite bands is saved separately to allow people to search for other users with those interests.  Each item displays a message when it's saved.
